Methodology

For more than 100 cities, we measure flight search evolution, and hotel ota and metasearch evolution, which is the change in the number of searches for a destination over a particular time frame.

We take a look into flight search, and hotel ota and metasearch origin evolution, to show where these searches are coming from, and how they develop from the starting date. As well as tracking flight search lead time evolution, displaying how far out travellers are searching for flights to a destination over time.

These charts demonstrate patterns of a traveller demand for certain destinations over certain time frames and in some instances, this is then measured against other relevant markets to provide a more complete understanding of traveller intent.
